Alloy quality steels. Steels for various applications.
Leaf and conical spiral springs, parts for conveyor units, railway tracks, etc.
Physical properties (avarage values) at ambient temperature
Modulus of elasticity [103 x N/mm2]: 210
Density [g/cm3]: 7.85
Heat to 680-700oC, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 225.
Harden from a temperature of 790-830oC followed by oil quenching.
Tempering temperature: 450-520oC, 550-650oC.
